What May Come...

Nodding silently in agreement she too followed the man over to the tree, gathering necessary items to be used for a small fire. "The Orges may be strong, but they're not the brightest creatures. They won't take much notice of the campfire, even at night, with their bad eye sight."

The man grinned and stepped closer. " well then, we will camp until nightfall. And then wehn the night is darkest, we shall strike. But we need to move fast and swiftly." he said as he walked over to his racksack leaning on a nearby tree.

Stepping forward she replied "We'll have to move quickly in the dark of the night. The Orges may be extremely strong, but they're not nocturnal. If we attack at night then we'll catch them off guard. They won't be able to see us very well either, so we have an advantage. Just beware that they have other humans on their side who could possibly catch us off guard."

The man smiled and withdrew his hand then looked at the girl in amazement and awe. " well then , i guess i will need some practice." He smiled greatly and stepped close to her. " so, when do you want to attack and retake your villaige? "

Smiling calmly she applauded, her eyes dancing with humor. "In order to defeat your opponent, however, you must learn how to harness that raw power into a flexible sort of art. It can either be used to attack your opponent, or it can be used to save a falling ally, if ever they were to fall over a cliff or something." she explained further, eyes still glued humorously on the fallen oak. "Try not to take out too many trees. This is a dense forest, so we need the trees to move about."

The man concetrates and after a few seconds a blast of solid air fires from his palm and knocks away a full oak tree as if it were a pebble. "woah" he said as he shockingly looked at his hand.

"It's actually really simple." she replied calmly, lifting the hand that held the mysterious white gem. "All you do is will your element's presence and control it through your thoughts." she explained, bringing his arm straight out in front of him. "Now, call on your element and order it to materialize and do what you tell it to. Various sorts of techniques exist that will allow you to wield more and more of it. Right now you've got a power boost, so it should allow you to defeat the lower level Orges. As time passes you'll get stronger and more powerful Orges will sense your presence and attack."

The man smiled and looked at the gem as he turned back to face her. "Strange... I've never `wielded` an element before. I dont know how to use it..." He said.

Smiling calmly as she stepped forwards, having put away the three other gems, her eyes immediately focused on a sharp, nine inch blade on his back. One of three. So, thanking him timidly, she went and retrieved a dagger, loving how light it was in her bare palm, its metallic surface shining lightly in the sun. "Thank you. The white stone you've chosen will boost your ability to wield your powers over the air, above your other elements. You've now specialized by interacting with that crystal." she pointed out, motioning towards the glowing from within the gem. "This element is crucial to our success in saving the village, because fire thrives on oxygen."

Unknowingly he took the white gem, seemingly curious at what it could do to benefit him. "If you
need daggers, i have three on my back." said the man as he turned around, revealing three sheathed 9 inch daggers. "Take your pick." he said again still with his back against her.

"Thank you, kind sir." she replied solemnly, overjoyed at the help she'd been offered. So, turning towards her battered leather pouch, extracting from it four strange crystals, she continued. "I've not specialized at all, but choose the element gem you need for a boost." in the light of day did the four small crystals shine, shimmering a bold red, blue, green, and white. "However, I'm expertly skilled in fighting and swordsmanship, so I'll fair perfectly fine if I can get some daggers."

The man took another step closer and unhooked his sword from his back, and with the ground cracking beneath it, the sword tip hit the ground while the hilt was still in his hand. "Well i cant say that i know you enough to trust you, but if you wish, i shall escort you back to the villaige to kill the ogres and save any survivors. " He bowed his head respectfully.

"My village... It's gone. Those damn Orges, they burnt and sacked all we had. The village elders did their best, but not even they could stop them." she replied, turning fluidly towards the mysterious man from the shadows. "My own powers have not yet come, so I could do nothing but help my people to escape." with a bowed head and a sigh she sat down silently upon the patch of thick green grass, the remnants of her village swirling in a tower of smoke.

A few feet behind the girl stood a man leaning against a tree. He watched for a minute then stepped from the shadows. His black hair dangled in front of his eyes and his outfit was visible. He wore only a pair of black jeans with a dark blue Tshirt. "What's overwhelming?" He asked in a low tone.

She stood alone, dark crimson tresses falling lightly across her smooth, pale face, emerald eyes shining into the night. "I don't know what to say, at a time like this... It's simply overwhelming" touching the fingers of her thin, nimble hand to her rosy lips, she could only wonder what would happen next.
